Black Kite
« on: January 20, 2010, 01:11:02 pm »
There appears to have been some sort of black kite (the sort attached to a string, not a bird) flying high above the fields to the west of the station for a few days now. Does anyone know what itís purpose is?  I wondered if it was some form of bird scarer but would have expected it to be more bird shaped if that was so. I also wonder how they manage to keep it aloft for so long. Whenever I tried flying kites as a child they required constant attention to stop them plummeting to the ground.

I've also seen the kite around 7.45 am.   It may not be related but there is often (well twice seen) also a builders van near the exit into the field on Bradmore Lane at the same.    May or may not be linked to the flytipping in Bradmore?

BTW details of the flytipping were registered with the Council earlier this week.
