The Whitehead family in North Mymms
« on: September 08, 2009, 07:20:04 am »
I wonder if anyone has any more information relating to my ancestors, the Whiteheads or Farrs who were living and farming in Bell Bar between 1804/5 and the 1870s? In particular what would be the name of the farm where John Chuck Whitehead was farming in 1841? The census lists Sheepshead Hall, Moffats Farm, 2 households and then the Whiteheads. Would they have been tenant farmers? Is this the same farm as that occupied by Edward and Elizabeth Farr in 1851-1871?

I have noted the mention of John Chuck Whitehead  re the White Hart pub in Peter Kingsford’s ‘Victorian Lives in North Mymms’.
