Does anyone know why four police cars were blocking off the Station Road end of Bradmore Lane this afternoon?

I think there was a collision. When we passed at 3ish, there was a bike lying on the verge and a small car parked on the road. There were no ambulances and the bike didn't look mangled, so I'm hoping no one was seriously injured. The police also blocked off the Warrengate Road end of Bradmore Lane.

They are still there.... I was told there had been a 'accident and someone had been seriously hurt'. No other details were given.

Bradmore Lane still closed with the Station Road junction blocked with cones and a police notice.

Police say a Home Office pathologist is carrying out a post mortem on the body of a woman found in Bradmore Lane yesterday afternoon. Police are talking to the family of a 57 year old missing Hatfield woman who has not been seen since 10 June. Click here for more details.
