Gobions work parties
« on: April 05, 2009, 11:03:05 am »
The Gobions Woodland Trust team of volunteers has recruited three new members for the work parties.

These take place most Sunday mornings, with volunteers meeting in the Gobions Open Space car park at 09:30.

Today the team was moving a bench that had been in the Leach Fields prior to it being blocked for public use.

That bench, which was donated in memory of the late Ruby and Jack Thomas, is now on the north side of Moffats Open Space.

Anyone is welcome to join the working parties each week.

Ah, good, liked that bench and was wondering what was going to happen to it.

Are there any plans to replant all the trees that we planted there around 5 years ago elsewhere as well? Or is that not possible after this amount of time? (me and gardening don't really mix..)

Nice to see the Herts Wildlife Trust giving the Gobions volunteer workers a thumbs up on Twitter.
