Early morning trains from BP
« on: September 01, 2003, 05:06:42 pm »
Hello everyone.
I am moving to BHP ( from Enfield ) with my family in a couple of weeks and very much looking forward to it.. I hope for obvious reasons ; the village , the community , the schools etc.
On a rather mundane note does anyone know how reliable ( ie how often it runs / is cancelled ) the 06.07 train into Moorgate is ?

I used to catch it once a week last year and I don't remember it being late or cancelled at all, however haven't used it since Easter so things might have changed :-\ If no one else replies I will contact someone else I know who uses it daily.

Welcome to the village - hope you have an enjoyable time living here!

James

Bit too early for me, but I hope it's better than this WAGN train:

I catch the 6.38 and have done for many years--if the earler train has been cancelled, it is usually fairly obvious as there are more to catch the later train. This is rarely the case..so you should be o.k.

I've been catching the early trains for years but i got so fed up with a half hour wait if by chance one is cancelled i now drive to potters bar where at least you have the option of catching the fast train to finsbury park and then jumping on the next moorgate train.
However big negative to this is the 3.30 per day car park charge, but than can work out cheaper if you buy a monthly/annual car paking ticket
