If anyone was wondering how much of the money raised will go to the Willow Foundation, the Brookmans has told this site that "about half" of the 75 ticket price will go to the charity along with 100% of the money from the auction.

The Brookmans says the information given to this site earlier about the amount going to the Willow Foundation was incorrect. Apparently 15 from each of the 75 tickets will go towards the charity and all the proceeds from the auction and raffle.

- 'Rat pack is back' tribute band

O fantastic. A live band and an event which will finish at midnight, followed by lots of people getting into cars etc making lots of noise on a weekday when I (and several other local residents) will probably be trying to get to sleep in preparation for a full day's work on the Thursday. No problems at all with the Brookmans doing a charity event like this, but why on earth could it not be at the weekend?

Wednesday is probably their quietest night. they would lose too much money hosting on a Friday or Saturday. 15 is a pretty small slice of the entrance fee though. It should be justified as it's a charity event. ;D

The charity evening at the Brookmans in aid of the Willow Foundation was a great success.
Bob Wilson spoke and the raffle, casino and auction raised 17,500.
Thank you to everyone who attended and helped raise such a terrific total.

I wonder how much the Brookmans made out of it?

Does it matter? 17500 is a terrific amount to raise for a very worthwhile charity! The organisers were obviously happy with the arrangement they came to with the venue, so that's down to them.

The event was laid on by the Brookmans themselves
directly for the charity.

no wonder they wanted to do it at 75 a ticket and only 15 going to charity - very touch subject questioning anything the Brookmans does it
appears. I was just asking the question I wonder what the Brookmans got out of it? - I'm sure they are all very charitable and only have the
community and charity at heart! would have been a wonderful gesture to have given 50% though and i'm sure the drinks were all a half price to
reflect their generous spirit ::)
