Great Northern (@GNRailUK) is tweeting that "a couple [of trains] have been diverted into Kings Cross". This follows a series of angry tweets from commuters over the last 30 mins.

A broken down train at Drayton Park means that trains are currently unable to run between Moorgate and Finsbury Park. Trains may be diverted to start / terminate at London Kings Cross. There is no firm estimate yet of how long disruption will last but it is likely to continue until at least 12:45.

Apparently, the consumer group Which? wants rail delay refunds to be made easier to claim. According to the BBC, the group says that after questioning 7,000 passengers they found that "only a third of people who may have been entitled to compensation actually bothered to claim it".

I wonder whether it would be worth commuters taking pictures of departure boards when delays/cancellations are announced just to help compile evidence for those who want to make claims in the future? The pictures could be attached to this thread - just click the 'Attachments and other options' link when posting.

for example will show you individual train details for the last 3 months and also summarise train times so you can see which is the most reliable train to catch for your commute.

Wow, thanks for that James. What a great resource. I just tried it out (screen grab below) with a query about the reliability of trains from BPK to FPK between 06:00 and 10:00. I didn't realise that site existed. Excellent. Thanks

The figures for the commute back from FPK to BPK on a weekday evening is also interesting. I set it for 100 days.

"Emergency services are dealing with an incident near Potters Bar which is causing delays of up to 90 minutes between London Kings Cross / Moorgate and Stevenage. This is expected to continue until 19:00."
