The box on the front page of this site is still showing the yellow warning notice that was on display yesterday warning of engineering works and a replacement bus service. However, if you ignore that and scroll down you will see that the latest train arrival and departure times are working as they should be. I have dropped the guy who wrote the script a line to point this out.  David

All okay now. Apparently it's because that was what was showing on the National Rail site. David

There is more serious disruption due to engineering works. The 05:44 has not arrived yet. Delayed by 25 minutes. The 6:06 shows on time, but I have any doubts.

Is it me or does "are to be expected" read very differently to "are expected"?

"are expected" means : "We expect delays."

"are to be expected" means: "That's just the way it is. Deal with it"

If you commute from Brookmans Park to Welwyn Garden City you might want to keep an eye on the latest information. The live feed on the front page is showing that the 07:12, 07:42, 08:16, 08:44 are all cancelled, but a notice explains that there is a problem with the real-time information and the information might be incorrect. I am tweeting to @GNRailUK try to find out more. I will copy any responses below.

Looks like their is a problem with the real-time updates on the front page of the site. Sorry about that. It's to do with the feed, not us.

Trains currently at a standstill. Signalling problems. The joy of the Monday morning commute.

Abbot, no. We were stuck at Hadley Wood for 40 minutes then moved to Oakleigh Park where we're at a standstill again.

They've just said the signals are now working again, but I'd expect it to take some time to cleanup this mess.
