Does anyone know of a nice snooker club near to Brookmans Park?

I used to go to Phils in St Albans to play, but can't since it shut down.

I say 'nice', I'm not looking for opulence of decor above that normally associated with snooker clubs (shabby chic I think it is now called), but would like somewhere with decent quality tables.

Also if anyone fancies the occasional game, and is not so good that all I would need to bring are my white gloves, I'd also be more than interested.

Many thanks for any info,

I play once a week at The Herts Country Club in Welwyn Garden City. The decor is poor which means that there are usually tables available! The tables are quite good and there are about 10 to choose from. 01707 331333 is the no.
I would invite you to come along as well, but 3 is an odd no for snooker!
There used to be a good snooker room at the Hatfield Leisure centre until it was changed to a creche!!
