Nn Mymms Drive near the junction with the A1000 are two brick columns .  Does anyone know why?

All info gratefully received.

Bob - the brick pillars with lamps are modern replacements for the original pillars and lamps that were in place when Mymms Drive was the actual drive leading to the main house.

If my memory serves me correctly the originals were taken down about 30 years ago, and these new ones were built within the last few years.

I hope this is useful.

There were pillars there when I moved into the area 20 years ago, but after a year or so, they were replaced by bushes. Nice to have the pillars back I reckon! :)
