Fountain in Gobions

I don't really think i should post in the teenager section anymore but there we go!

I was thinking a while back how awesome a fountain type thing would be in gobions, similar to that of the one at Cassiobury Park, Watford.
Although that is more of a children's pool area so i guess that would need supervision, equalling money etc

So a standard Fountain would be more realistic! voice your opinions! Maybe similar to the one they have in Welwyn Garden City Centre

Nice idea, but cant even get a decent childrens play area in Gobions, let alone a fountain!!

Anything that children could get into would have the potential for H&S [grr] problems like the Diana "memorial" - which could bankrupt the parish council in the blink of an eye.

This is one I would leave well alone.

The parish council play areas are already insured, and the insurance company inspects them twice a year.

This is the reason for the Hawkshead Road play area not having the tyre swing in operation because of the defective safety surface surrounding it.  The remedial work has been delayed pending the purchase of those playing fields and subsequent relocation of the tyre swing.  This should, hopefully, happen soon.

Is it suggested that this fountain be located on Gobions Open Space or in Gobions Wood?  If the wood, then the owner is Gobions Woodland Trust, not the parish council.

A major problem is the power to send up the jet of water.  There is no easily available power connection to either location.  And who would pay the electricity bill? 

Nice idea, though.

Before this 'summer' I would have suggested that it could have been run on solar power, not any more though .........
