Local coaches serving North Mymms in the '50s, '60s & '70s
« on: September 26, 2016, 11:45:47 am »
Below are a few images of coaches operating in the area from the '50s, '60s & '70s. The pictures were taken by the late Ron Kingdon, and were digitised and enhanced by local historian and photographer Mike Allen. They are just a few from a collection of a dozen which will be added to the site over the coming week.

Keep an eye on this thread as it is updated with more images. Here are a few to be getting on with. As with all this old images of North Mymms, please feel free to add any memories stimulated by the pictures.

Two more images from the collection. These are Green Line coaches which were converted into United States Army Medical Corps ambulances and based at North Mymms Park in the 1940s. The photographs were taken by the late Ron Kingdon, and were digitised and enhanced by Mike Allen. The whole set has now been uploaded in one feature entitled Coaches serving North Mymms over the years and is in our local history section. Feel free to share any memories.
