Critical Path-Local Band
« on: May 17, 2007, 11:00:03 pm »
Critical Path are a band featuring four teenagers from Brookmans Park , Potters Bar and Welham Green.
They are enjoying recent deserved success having just won the Final of the Battle of the Bands in Bedforshire at the Castle Tavern in Luton.
They are also through to the Final of the Battle of the Bands in Hertfordshire at the Horn in St. Albans, http://horn.spodnet.net/gigguide.php?filter=9, which will take place on Jun 21st. The four have just finalised their first EP featuring three of their own songs, "Without Reason, Same Mistakes & Nothing left to Fear" and they will be releasing this at the Black Horse in Union Street Barnet on the 26th May where the four band members, Josh  Woodhouse (vocals), Glenn Hammersley (guitar), Sam Miller (Bass Guitar) and Adam Levitt (Drums) will be performing live. Previous gigs have been throughout the local area and their talents can be heard, and seen, on their web-site www.critical-path.co.uk. All are welcome on the 26th May and you may be fortunate to get the Band to sign copies of their CDs on the night. The tracks will be available to download from the web-site or itunes from June 1st.

The Black Horse was packed with the Pub actually running short on glasses at one time. A geat atmosphere with people managing to dance despite the packed surroundings. The boys thought their sound a little less than perfect, due to some new equipment they were using, but that will get resolved and the audience remained blissfully unaware. Looked to me as if everyone enjoyed themselves and you would be hard pressed to find a more convivial atmosphere.
Critical Path feature on the Front Page of the Potters Bar Commity News.
They will be playing once more at the Horn at St. Albans http://horn.spodnet.net/gigguide.php?filter=7  on 21st June 2007 where they will be doing their best at the Final of the Battle of the Bands. You need to be 18 to attend so have your IDs ready.

Sadly the Boys were runners-up at the Horn, in fairness to a very professional band who have been going much longer  >:( but they also appeared at the  East Barnet Festival where they put on a good performance, though the weather was not fantastic, which reduced the crowd's attendance.
