Oak tree on Dixons Hill Road
« on: March 19, 2013, 01:21:05 pm »
:(  Sad to see the old oak tree on Dixons Hill Road, Welham Green being cut down today, it must have been several hundred years old. I wonder why? It did not look diseased to me and has not been dropping any branches.
The police used to regularly 'hide' behind it with their speed gun although I have not seen this
happen there for many years - they won't be hiding there anymore!

There has been a notice on the tree for sometime giving notice that it would be removed.
